This week Year 13 students participated in a recruitment assessment task led by Babcock International Group. Babcock ambassadors supported students throughout the activity and provided valuable feedback. The ambassadors included 2 ex-ECC students who were able to share their career journeys with students beyond ECC.
Students fully engaged in this activity, showcasing their employability skills including, teamwork, communication and presentation skills. This event will prove useful whether students are moving onto higher education or employment. This type of assessment is often used in recruitment, the students will now fell better prepared for the “real” thing should they face this situation in the future.
As Year 9 students submitted their GCSE options form this week, we welcomed Chloe Brown from Marjon University to talk to students about the benefits of going to university. Whilst this might seem a long way off, understanding future pathways is motivational for students in their studies and crucial for future decision making beyond Year 11 or Sixth Form.
