Eggbuckland Community College is part of the Westcountry Schools Trust,

working closely and strategically with 6 other local secondary schools.  We are

an 11-18 College of about 1200, with a thriving sixth form and a specialist Hearing

Support Centre. Students, visitors to the College, parents all comment on the

very positive relationships in the College, the excellent behaviour of our polite

and courteous students, and the calm and disruption-free classes.  Students

enjoy the breadth and depth of a very contemporary and ambitious curriculum,

rooted in the principle of social justice, ensuring all students get introduced to

the very best that has been written, said and created.

We are very popular school, over-subscribed in all year groups and we never take

for granted the importance of trust and partnership between home, school and

the local community. Our parents, students and staff are united to ensure we

provide the very best education for the young people in our care.  Our TICK values

(Tenacity, Integrity, Compassion and Knowledge) were jointly agreed by all

stakeholders and will ensure our students become rounded, well qualified,

ambitious and highly employable individuals.

We understand that feeling happy, knowing you are cared for and having your talents as an individual recognised are important factors in getting the best out of our young people.  We ensure that students are challenged academically and supported personally; both are part of our DNA.   Only then can our students gain in confidence and enjoy and thrive in all aspects of a rich and full educational journey through to our sixth form.

Students enjoy the breadth and depth of a very ambitious and contemporary curriculum, designed to ensure it is aligned to the local, regional and national career opportunities.  Our students move on to a diverse range of careers, from top universities through to a diversity of inspiring apprenticeships.

We warmly welcome future students and parents to our community who share our ambitions and the very high expectations we have of our staff and students.
